Manifest your Balance! A New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra
How to Bring in more Balance in Your Life
New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra
We are in Eclipse season, so if you have been noticing energetic chaos around you, it is par for the course.
However, this new moon in Libra offers us some healing energies that we can work with to soothe any emotional or energetic chaos, and to create more balance and beauty within our lives & specifically within our relationships.
New moons are a wonderful time to set new intentions. Libra is the sign of balance, justice, emotional equilibrium and relationship. Libra teaches us that life will not always feel calm, but that our relationship with ourselves is where we must begin to cultivate balance in all aspects of our lives.
The New Moon also has a “yin” energy, which corresponds to darkness, moisture, and the energetic pull of the Earth drawing in.
Imagine water sinking into rich soil, a gentle stream of water soothing your nerves, the darkness of a starry night that allows for deep rest, the time of planting seeds when the Earth is in her energy of receiving.
These are all examples of “yin” energy. When there is outer chaos, fiery feelings, loud movements, dry air, it is time to balance the hot/fast/outward “yang” energies by cultivating more “yin”.
The dualistic theory of “yin & yang” comes from traditional Chinese medicine and ancient philosophy and continues to be a rich framework used by holistic medicine practitioners to cultivate balance, treat illness and restore balance.
Our skin care formulas are inspired by the “yin” and “yang” qualities of plants and healing. Glow serum deeply penetrates the skin and repairs during the night (yin). Sacred Serum warms up the skin tone and protects you from the sun with a natural spf of 10 (yang). Using both serums gives you the nourishment, care and balance to cover all of your skin care needs.
This week only we are offering A special $57 discount on the “Day & Night” bundle with both serums!
Are you feeling more “yin” or “yang” right now? Answer the questions below to find out if you have too much “yin” or “yang” right now and we will share how to balance these energies with simple rituals, foods, herbs & practices in our new article.
When Yang is in balance in our mind and emotions, we are feeling social, happy, energized, outgoing. When it is overactive, we may feel unable to focus, anxious, hyperactive.
When Yang is in balance in our body, our digestion is good. We don’t feel sluggish after meals and have energy.
When Yin is in balance in our mind and emotions, we are able to reflect, meditate, connect to our emotions and intuition. When we have too much yin, we can tend towards depression, lethargy, darkness and loneliness.
When Yin is in balance physically, we take long deep breaths, we get good sleep, we can be calm and focused.
If you are feeling like you have too much Yin/ darkness/ slowness/ receptivity, you can amplify your yang energy by:
-
Eating easily digestible, warm foods and spices. Ginger, cardamon, cinnamon all warm up the digestive fires and help us turn food into energy, while warming our body.
-
Increasing your movement outdoors. Go outside, watch the rising sun and setting sun and make sure to move your body and ideally get it warm either by exercising or taking sauna.
-
Listen to uplifting music, reach out to a friend, read something funny, hang out with a kid or a puppy.
If you are feeling like you have too much Yang/ fire/ fast/ outward expression, you can calm your yang and support more yin by:
-
Eating roasted root vegetables or root, mushroom and seaweed soups. Drink more water with lemon at room temperature and cut down on coffee and sugar.
-
Begin a daily meditation and reflective practice. Start the day by meditating, closing your eyes, following your breath and slowing it down. Cut out habits that make you feel chaotic or that affect your attention span like frequently checking your phone, scrolling, watching the news.
-
Listen to calming music, take epsom salt baths, turn off your electronics earlier and read a good book before going to bed.
The “yin/ yang” symbol teaches us that there is always lightness within darkness and dark within the light. We live in a universe that is dancing with these forces of day and night continuously.
We too are a part of Nature and our nature shifts with the seasons, our moods, foods and as influenced by our environment.
Remember to be gentle and loving with yourself as you observe your nature. Listen to what feels most nourishing to you and trust your intuition.
As we enter the season of fall and winter, the yin energies around us increase. It is healthy and natural to need more rest and to crave more warming foods and gentle practices for the season ahead.
We are here to support you in all of your seasons and phases.
